Company
In
the year 1972, the Promoters Mr. Gopaldas Mantri and Mr. Purushottam Mantri, dealing
in foundry raw material like Ferro Silicon, Hard Coke, MS Scrap etc. and established
as a reliable quality supplier to many leading foundries in the country. In 1996,
they ventured to set-up their own foundry unit, today known as "Mantri
Metallics Pvt. Ltd." situated at Kolhapur.
The operation
started with installation of an Induction Furnace having capacity of 250MT liquid
metal with Jolt Squeeze Moulding Line and other related equipments in foundry
and the first item produced was a small Flywheel.
Gradually within a span
of 5 years Mantri Metallics increased the capacity to 500 MT per month and started
developing machining facility also with few conventional machines. With huge inflow
of orders and assurances from Customers like Tata Motors , Ashok Leyland, Spicer
another expansion programme was taken in hand to increase capacity to 10,000 MT
p.a by 2005. With a definite vision and determination for achieving goals, growth
and prosperity the company decided to supply almost 100% of the castings produced
in Fully Machined condition and ready for assembly on customers assembly line.
Based on this strategy new machine shop was constructed in 2004 with state
of the art CNC machines and inspection facility and today MMPL has adopted Lean
Manufacturing concepts, One - Piece flow, POKA YOKE, concepts and designed dedicated
machining line for Flywheels assemblies and Exhaust Manifolds.

Mr.
Purshottam Mantri, Managing Director.
Mr.
Purshottam Mantri looks after corporate plannings, finance & development of
the organization. He is the main promoter of the company and has 36 years of experience
as an enturprenuer.
Mr.
Prasad Mantri. Executive Director.
He looks after
new projects, developments and business planning. He is Bachelor of Chemical Engineering
and working with compnay since May 2000
Mr.
S. S. Potnis. Technical Director.
He looks after
projects and day-to-day working activities in the foundry. He is B.E. (Mech) from
IISC, Bangalore and has 40 years of experience in foundry activities.
Mr.
V. S. Datar. G.M. (Manufacturing)
Looks after machine
shop division, production planning & control, also new part development. He
is B.E. (Mech) and has 30 years of experience in machining activities.
Mr.
J. K. Gururajan. Divisional Manager
Looks after
marketing activities of the company and has 26 years of experience in this field.
He is B.E. (Mech). |

Mantri
Metallics presently produces 10,000 MT p.a. of castings of various grade like
GG22, GG25, FG 260, FG 300a, GG22 Mo Cr. MMPL has ultra modern machine shop with
state of the art CNC, VMC machines and Co-ordinate measuring machine.
